Don't take a bite, Adam!

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm119:105

On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on the church door of the Wittenberg cathedral. By God's grace, Luther's courageous act of challenging the corruption and unBiblical practices of the Medieval Catholic hierarchy launched the Great Reformation.

The movement quickly spread throughout the Western world. His doctrines, especially justification by faith and the final authority of the Bible, were adopted by other reformers and are shared by many Protestant denominations today. As the founder of the 16th - century Reformation, he is one of the major figures of Christianity and of Western civilization.

Some of the great blessings which we benefit from, as a result of the Reformation, include:
~The Bible available in our own language.
~Scripture alone is our final authority.
~Justification is received by Faith alone.
~Christ alone is the head of the Church.

In honor of Reformation Sunday, the children dressed as Biblical characters for choir practice. Alex and Madison came up with Eve's costume. Chas decided to step in and play the role of Adam at the last minute, definitely adding to the cute factor.

By the way, Eve placed 3rd in the best costume contest.
