Stepping Back in Time

A day in 18th century Fort Toulouse.

Eighteenth century entertainers.

Fort Toulouse is a historic and exciting place where the French built their fort during the late 1700's and early 1800's. We watched, questioned, and listened to the actors as they re-enacted the daily life of the French soldiers, Creek Indians, and others during the time period.

It was better than reading a book or going to a museum because it was like walking into another time. You can ask questions and talk to the people. A book can't do that.

Beware if you go to a reenactment because they shoot guns and cannons. :O Small children may not like it. Chas didn't.

I recommend Fort Toulouse for ages four to adult.
