Belated Easter greetings!
He has risen! He has risen indeed!
Easter as it relates to children...
As Christian parents, it is important to plant seeds of Truth in our children's heart. We cannot make those seeds take root and grow, but we can provide the proper environment to promote growth.
One precious tool I have found to tell the entire Easter occurrence in a toddler friendly way is Miss Pattycake's Eggstravaganza. This children's DVD/VHS goes into great detail about the how and why of Easter but is sensitive to the target audience. Children enjoy dancing, singing, and listening as Miss Pattycake uses the Resurrection Eggs to reveal "the greatest thing that ever happened".

The past two years we have made Resurrection Rolls. Here's how....
Take a large marshmallow which represents the body of Christ. Roll it in melted butter and a mixture of cinnamon and sugar which represents the body annointed in oil and spices before burial. Wrap the marshmallow in crescent roll dough (be sure to wrap well and pinch to close any openings) which represents the burial cloth. Bake as directed in the oven, sealed with tape, which represents the sealed tomb. Allow to cool. Break open the burial cloth and Christ's body is gone! He has risen from the dead! (The rolls are yummy too.)
As we make the rolls I tell the children what happend. Chas was so excited. He wanted to tell others. But when he retold it....."Mary cried and cried, there was tape on the oven, and then the marshmallow was gone!"
Easter as it relates to you...
Reflect on the joy God felt when His Son, Jesus, was again home with Him in heaven. Imagine Him reacting the same way to you some day. He will, if you are a believer. Do you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for your (and my!) sins and defeated death by rising from the dead so you can spend eternity with Him in heaven? If not, investigate for yourself. Pick up a Bible and discover for yourself what this means and how it pertains to you.
