Biblical Meme
Aaaaack!!! I’ve been tagged!
Okay, Linda, I’ll play along. It will be good for me to think through these.
1. Who is your favorite Biblical personage, other than Jesus?
Currently, I am fascinated by Esther and how she conducted herself as wife of King Ahasuerus, a man everyone had to walk on eggshells around. I did not appreciate how difficult the king was or how much self discipline and wisdom Esther demonstrated as she and others fasted in preparation of her going before the king. She was patient, respectful, and creative and won her husband’s favor to save the Jews.
2. What is your favorite book of the Old Testament?
Psalms. The raw emotions of life’s trials, tribulations, and mountain top experiences are all wrapped up in the hope and love of our Lord. Reading through them makes my love for Him swell, whether I am experiencing the highs or lows of life.
3. What is your least favorite book of the Old Testament?
Though I understand the significance of Leviticus, to actually read through it, well, it’s like trudging through ankle deep mud for me. I have to force myself through it.
4. What is your favorite non-gospel book of the New Testament?
James. It is rich with practical teaching and my mind tends to be practical.
5. What is your life verse?
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
6. Tag five people who might want to play.
Unless someone wants to come out of lurkdom, this leg of the game will end. Any takers?
“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword…” Hebrews 4:12
