The King Tut Exhibit

Madison and Nana recently viewed Tutankhamun: Wonderful Things from the Pharoah's Tomb. They did the self guided tour twice for a total of two and a half hours of learning. (A good sign they enjoyed themselves.)

Madison took her third trip through the exhibit with Chas and me today and was very enthusiastic about showing us around. Here is her report....

The King Tut Exhibit

The King Tut exhibit was interesting and filled with artifacts and replicas from King Tut's tomb.

It was amazing how similar the Egyptians were to us. The Egyptians were very concerned about their looks just like us. They had a special cosmetic spoon just like we have make-up and things to make us feel good. But we are all beautiful just the way we are. We both want high positions like pharoah and president. We both have crimes like robbery, dishonesty and murder.

The Egyptians and people today have many differences. For instance, our furniture is much more comfortable and their furniture is rather hard and uncomfortable. Their burial traditions is different from ours. We bury in the ground but they bury in caves and pyramids. They did not live to be as old as we do now.

I learned a lot of interesting things at the King Tut exhibit.
